How long does sessions last? What does that experience look like?
Great question! The duration of your session is contingent on several factors to include purpose of visit, age of client, and/or your insurance coverage. However, we typically provide sessions in either a 45 minute, or 60 minute format. Generally for children ages 5 and under, sessions generally last 30 to 45 minutes, with most adults receiving 45 to 60 minutes in service.
During your initial session, referred to initial assessment, your clinician or therapist, will meet with you to gather your background information in order to secure a clearer picture of your clinical needs and history. From there, the two of you will collaborate on a client centered treatment plan to assist with reducing notable symptoms that attributed to your need for services.
